Day 6, Level 2.5: Low clouds, the Ritz and a scenic drive
Three new Covid cases and another death. So that's two deaths in the new resurgence in the last 24 hours. Also a potential case in Christchurch, being investigated.
A cloudy day today. Read, wrote, did some editing, had an eye on the races. Bit of a lazy day. Had a dose of sinus so didn't feel very lively.
The clouds were interesting late in the afternoon - they spread out very low in the sky, you could almost touch them.
Watched a bit of tv with Indi lying on me in 7th purring heaven - including a show about The Ritz Hotel in London. I worked nearby when I lived there and used to pass it often - it definitely has that "something special" going on. I did go for afternoon tea once - very opulent! Also Claridges, the Savoy, the Waldorf etc. And Fortnum & Mason dept store nearby, stunning. I miss having those iconic places in my neighbourhood - nothing remotely similar in NZ!
SHARE-NOTE OF THE DAY:
The road to Tawharanui ...
Here are some photos I took on my drive back from Tawharanui yesterday. Stunning blue skies and seas. Green hills and native bush. Little coves and islands on the horizon. Truly memorable.
The complete opposite of the Ritz, haha!
