Day 57, Level 1: (Tues 4 Aug) Superb Spring Day, Stunning Sunset, Fab Quiz - tick, tick, tick!
So the Full Moon did it's fab weather thing today - what a stunner!
Spring really sprang today, it was warm, blue skies, no wind - all doors open, warm as toast in the sunshine (but not when out of it, mind!), and really no sign of Mr Winter being in the vicinity.
But it is technically winter. And it may return in a few days ...
Love this lovely weather while it lasts.
I did get up at 4am this morning (when Full Moon was at its peak) and headed to the back deck to check the moon in the western sky.
OMG what a superb and stunning moment of life. Slightly chilly, pale inky sky, glowing golden globe, bright stars, calm as can be, no city noise, no sign of life, a twinkling night vista across the ridge, PJs on, eyes agog ... And the SkyTower still lit up in its rainbow colours. Awesome.
I stood there for a while - just me, the moon, a city view, no one and no sound. Tick.
I've actually done this dozens of times over the past decade that I've been researching Full Moon weather - and it never ceases to enthrall me, the beauty of that ball in the sky, especially when the timing aligns like this. I'm as enthusiastic in 2020 as I was ten years ago!
Worth getting up in the middle of the night for? Hell yes! And to be honest, sometimes I haven't actually gone to bed yet so my Moon-watch is en route to sleep!
There are only so many photos you can take of a Full Moon on your phone -
they're all just a blurry yellow glowing thing - and I've posted
enough. So no FM pics tonight.
But first, before the Full Moon, there was a stunning sunset ...
